Adventurous couples looking to explore rare ecosystems and protected forests.
We headed to Bajos del Toro in Costa Rica and visited the Poas Volcano National Park. Once there, it was impossible not to marvel at the splendour of their main crater, which is the widest in the world. After this, we hiked on a trail that leads to Botos Lagoon (an extinct crater), and had the opportunity to see different ecosystems, and uncover unknown species of flora and fauna. Finally, we left a positive mark in the midst of Costa Rica’s cloud forest by taking part in a Tree Planting Ceremony. After a long day of activities, we were exhausted but happy to sleep at the barefoot luxury haven, El Silencio Lodge.
